I have a set of Personal Folders when I open Outlook that
refer to a .pst file that has long ago been deleted. When
I right click the Personal Folders and try to close them,
I get an error message stating "The oporation failed. An
object could not be found" Any idea on how to remove these
folders from Outlook.

There is no delete option. Just a Close option, that give
me the error when I try to close it.

What version of Outlook are you using, and if 98 or 2000, what mail support
mode? If you're not sure, look at the second line of Help | About Microsoft
Outlook -- it should say "Internet Mail Only" or "Corporate/Workgroup".
(Outlook 97, 2002, and 2003 don't have separate modes.)

For OL 2000, click "Tools", "Services", highlight the service representing
the pst that is gone and click "Remove".
For OL 2002, click "File" "Data File Management", highlight the service
representing the pst that is gone and click "Remove".
