Using Office XP Pro on a Windows XP Pro machine. No
network.
In preparing to reformat my hard drive and re-install
everything, I went looking for my outlook.pst file to make
sure I had it backed up. The only one I found on my hard
drive had a last modified date from 2003. Curious, I
renamed it and then opened Outlook, expecting to get an
error. But I didn't. Outlook opened fine, with all my
contacts, old emails, etc.
My question: what file is it using to get that data? That
outlook.pst was the only file with a pst extension on my
whole drive. Got me scratching my head.
Thanks in advance.
