I have rebuilt my system on a clean disk - WIndows XP and
Office XP Pro.
After installing Office XP Pro I then installed the
Outlook PST Backup utility.
I installed Office XP Pro service packs 1 and 2.
I decided to reinstall the PST utility, but could not find
it in the list of installed software. It was in the list
before SP 1 & 2.
I thought perhaps I had overlooked the installation
earlier and so ran the installation utility.
The install reported that the product had already been
installed and then asked if I wanted to uninstall it
first. I replied YES and the installtion utility then
reported that it could not uninstall itself because it did
not appear to have been installed.
Is there a registry hack that will allow me to erase any
prior installtion information so that I can install the
utility?
Thanks.
