I use Outlook to email from my home office. Our central
office has a server that I use to receive my mail and
have a different internet provider at home. I have never
had any problems receiving and sending email. I have not
changed any settings and now I can only receive and not
send.

I have turned off Norton Anti Virus scan for incoming and
outgoing emails. My internet provider says that this is
a settings issue in Outlook and it could have something
to do with a firewall or the SP2 download. Im using XP.

Please assist soon. I haven't been able to send emails
for three days.

Does your ISP have a web page which describes the needed settings for
Outlook? Many do--that'd be a good reference. It is possible, in fact
likely, that your ISP's settings for outgoing mail have changed over time.

You may find, as I did recently, that your ISP blocks connections on the
SMTP port beyond their network. This requires that you configure your ISP's
smtp server as the outgoing server.

This should work, even though all the addresses are company specific. When
I connect via MSN's network, I do this, for example.

This change is aimed at mitigating spam, so look for more of the same in
future.
