Hi All

Have a strange issue.
Messages keep disappearing from Inbox and other folders. :-o

Am running Outlook 2000 on W2K on a network
is only happening to some users.

No Filters or anything. Have run a PST scan it seems ok.

Would appreciate any ideas.

Could you be a bit more precise on when they are disappearing? When they are
marked as read or when they arrive or after a certain time. Also see if you
have an Archive.pst file on your harddisk and see if they are moved to that
file.

I have encountered this problem with some of my clients.
Sorry I don't have Outlook in front of me so my resolution
is from memory.

All your messages should still be there. I suspect you or
some helpful person has changed how your messages are
viewed! You will find that messages more than a certin
age are disappearing.

Outlook may have been set to show only messages that have
not been read or messages less than a day or week etc. old.
Check your display settings.

Good luck;

Rick

Hi

Thanks for the reply.
There is specific pattern to the messages disappearing.
This is no Archive file.

At the moment 3 users face this problem
1 of them has all sorts of messages discovering
the other has the old ones but nothing from this year
while the third has the new ones but nothing from last year.
