Outlook/Outlook Express Confusion.

We have a number of Windows XP machines with a combination of Outlook Express
and Outlook 2000 (and XP). I want to standardize all to the same e-mail
application. I also want to be able to backup the files daily. I want,
therefore, to script the backup to point to the file folder(s) that contain
all of the files.

I have noticed that there is a difference in file storage between
Outlook/Outlook Express. I like the file storage of OE, because it breaks
down individual e-mail folders into .dbx files. I have also noticed that I
can change the location of these folder to a directory that I can easily
backup. There are two shortcomings here though, , a) I cannot find a way to
relocate the address book (.wab), b) I like Outlook better for it's schedule
and to-do list.

Is there any way that I can backup Outlook using OE folders, use a .wab file
generated contact list, and relocate that folder to be backed up?

I know I ask alot, but I really need to automate this process as much as
possible.

Thanks!

I realize I may have been long winded in my question, but I think that some
of what I wanted my have been answered, though it was not helpful.

If I am to use Outlook, I will end up with one large .pst file (with
whatever archive files I may accumulate). I am starting to like Outlook
Express more and more. I don't want to have to continuously (everyday)
backup the same file. At least with Outlook Express, the individual folders
have their own separate .dbx files. Which only need to be backed up when
they change.

Shucks! It can never be easy!

How can I then get the address book in a specified folder? Neither of these
links cover OE address books.
