Outlook opens automatically

I am running WinXP Pro, using Outlook 2003 (connected to an Exchange
server). When I (or anyone in the domain) logs into this computer (a
Compaq laptop) Outlook opens automatically. If you close it, it
immediately opens again. If you minimize it, it will pop right back
up. If you try to open an email, the main window comes to the front
so you can't see your email.

I have searched for viruses using several methods,and nothing has come
up. All current patches have been installed. We had the same problem
about 2 months ago, and formatted the hard drive, since the tech
department had no idea what the problem was.

Any comments or suggestions would be helpful!

You might try running msconfig to see if Outlook or some 3rd party
application is in services or startup that could be triggering it to stay
open.
