I see others have posted problems similar to mine. Has this issue been
resolved and I just can't find the answer?
I ordered an AMD Opteron 252 with 4GB ram & with MS Office SBE 2003,
everything within Office works fine except Outlook. Upon the original startup
it asked the questions such as name, e-mail address, and so on, but when it
started to create the profile it reports the Outlook has encountered a
problem and must close. I have sent the requested report into Microsoft and
the next box that pops up states the problem has been resolved with an Office
update. I have updated, I have restarted, I have done everything I know to
do. Uninstall, reinstall with the auto update, Uninstall, reinstall without
the auto update, uninstall, gone into the registry and removed all traces of
outlook, reinstall…. Monotonous isn’t it. Still every time I fire up
outlook I get Outlook has encountered a problem and must close Is the
problem on my end or what. I have to believe this is a software conflict as
all the other portions of Office work well.
Any thoughts?
