outlook not displaying sent messgaes except for current day

Hi Everyone,

Something strange is going on with one of my employees outlook. It appears
that as of July 2006 outlook has stopped saving (or displaying) his sent
messages. It shows all sent apts but no messages. Well technically it will
display the current days sent messages and apts but everyday after that it
only displays sent apts or meetings up until July 2006. Anyone have any idea
what could be going on here? I checked for filters but he has none and i
checked to make sure his settings told outlook to save the messages in his
sent folder and it is. Any help would be appreciated as this is freaking me
out.

Thanks,

no the auto archive was set to run every 14 days and i have since turned it
off. This happens everyday that the emails from any previous day is
disappearing. Plus only the email msgs are disappearing apts and meeting
requests are still there..so i dont know if you can choose that with archiving

Check for rules, both client and server side if you're using Exchange. Also
check for any view filtering.

i checked for filters and none were applied (it was turned off) i clicked
clear to remove any just in case, still have the same result. I dont believe
there to be any rules set on the exchange server as we have never done this
for a employee before and he has no client side rules at all

An employee can create their own Exchange side rules. I would open Outlook
with the /cleanrules switch, just to be sure. It will remove both server and
client side rules.

Have you tried to delete and recreate the Outlook profile to see if that
makes a difference?

i opened it with the /cleanrule switch like you suggested and got the same
result as before. I have installed his outlook profile on another computer
in both cashe mode and normal mode and both get the same result as well. Is
there another way to delete/recreate the outlook profile?

Have you verified that he has no view filtering on - View > Current View.
Make sure it says Messages.
