When starting up my computer after I logged in, a message
popup that my profile could not be loaded. So I had to
redo a whole new profile. The problem lies in that in
redoing a new profile I seem to have lost all my contacts
in Microsoft Outlook. I searched and found what I think
is the backup of PST file from the old profile but I can't
seem to import it into Outlook. The reason why I think
it's the file is because of the size and because of it's
location in the Application Data folder.

I don't know if it's because the file is called
Outlook.NK2. I went into the Outlook folder in the
Application Data of the new profile and replace the new
data file with the one I found (NK2) but it wouldn't read
it.

Can you tell me how I can convert the information in the
NK2 file so that I can at least print out the information
and input it manually? Or is there a way to import the
information from this file into the new Outlook?

The NK2 file is your nickname file and contains none of your Outlook
information. Your .pst file is the one with the information. Search your
hard drive for the file and make sure you enable searching hidden and system
folders. Changing a profile does not delete the .pst file.
