Outlook Newsreader sloooooww

Can anybody give me any advice. The outlook express newsreader has always
worked fine for me. Lately it takes minutes sometimes for one message to
appear. I just get an hourglass and have to wait for a two word message to
appear. It is really frustrating. What can be the cause of this? I have
run a virus scan and there are no problems. I have also run system mechanic
to fix any registry or computer problems and nothing helps. Any advice? I
am using the latest version of IE. Thanks.

Broadband or dialup? Maybe it's a problem with your ISP's news server.

It's happening to everyone I know that's on Road Runner here in Texas :-(
