Using pass through security the user gets his My Documents access on the
desktop. But when we try to access the My Documents through Outlook I
get access denied.

What can be done to allow the same pass through security to apply to the
My Documents from within the Outlook client.

The specific issues is the user is trying to do a save as to My

Which icon? What dialogue is open? What are you trying to save? Which
version of Outlook?

Icon: Favorites Link

Where is this link?

Sorry i sent a big message but it never showed up.

"Favorites Link" is what it is called in Outlook 2007.

In Office 2003 it has no name it is simple the bar on the left side of
the Save As... window that contains several icons like "My Computer", My
Documents, etc...

If he clicks on that my documents icon that is when he gets access denied.

Ah. The Save In pane in the Save As dialogue. If he right-clicks the My
Documents icon in that pane and chooses Open, does the folder open? This
doesn't sound like an Outlook issue, it sounds like a Windows issue. I'd
look at the definition for the My Documents location in the registry.
