Outlook Message Pickup

I have recently set up a DC running Windows 2000 Server. In order to deal with e-mail is there a way to have the server to pick up all of the messages and then for those messages to be picked up by the client computer, but not store them in a local directory? Thanks!
 
There is. It's called Exchange.
