Outlook Mail Merge, subfolders

If I want to do a mail merge, it appears I have to do it one folder at a
time. If I have subfolders, is there any way to go to the top-level folder
and include everything below it? Actually, maybe the real question (since
mail merges seem to be defined by the current view), is there a way to have a
view that contains lower-level subfolder items?

No, only one folder at a time. Maybe you don't need subfolders but
categories?

Thanks. Not quite sure what the value of subfolders is then. Yeah, I can use
categories, but it's a lot more work (More data entry, I have to set up each
one individually rather than just moving things between folders). Less
intuitive, but I guess if that's how the tool works, I gots no choice... I
consider it a work-around... Not to mention that I need to restructure my
whole address book...

Actually, managing contacts with categories is a lot less work. THink of
what you have to do if someone changes their phone number. Would you rather
change it in one item or multiples?

Hmmm... I don't have people in multiple folders, so it's not an issue. I can
get from folder to folder just by clicking on the left nav bar... I don't
need to apply views or filters or anything. I have different folders for
different industries or companies, so there's no overlap.

I actually think the answer for me is to do multiple mail merges and then
combine them (assuming that's possible) or do multiple runs. (This is for
snail mail labels, not email.)

Cheers.
