outlook mail merge labels

When trying to merge a contact file from Outlook into Word to print out
labels, The warning "database engile failure" appears and does not allow me
to proceed. What the heck is this about?

I want to print out my stinkin Christmas list from an Outlook contact list.
What can I do?
