Outlook 2002, XP

I have tried to set up multiple email accounts for my business. For some
reason, I am limited to 4 that I can send/receive at any given time- the
others give me an error message like this:

I only get the error message from one or more of my company domain accounts,
not the isp's email account. It does not matter how they are set up, just
that there are 4 or less total. As a test, I set more than 4 up in OE and had
no problem.

What am I doing wrong? There should be no limit to the number of email
accounts I can have and check.

I have tried to work this out through my isp and domain host, but no
solution. All the mail accounts are fine, it is just that I cannot check more
than 4 at a time.

thanks,

Outlook limits the number of connections to a given server. Try setting up
send and receive groups that check mail at different schedules - like every
8 min and one every 12 min.

I thought that I might have to do as you suggested...but I could not find any
reference to the limit anywhere I searched...and OE didn't seem to have a
limit at all. What is the limit? For me, it seems to be about 2. (the 4 I
referred to included 2 other servers)

thanks

I thought it was 4 open connections to one server, but I could be
misremembering.
