Can outlook 2007 be installed on 3 computers owned by the same person?
i.e. office home and student? If not I can not afford to put this on all my
computers. Do I uninstall the trial of 2007 and then reinstall 2003? what
about the file conversion? I am disappointed this was not included in the
home and student suite.

I couldn't find the standalone Outlook 2007 EULA, but this is the one for Office Standard 2007, which should be similar: http://download.microsoft.com/docum...lish_6f8e0800-18d6-436e-8af4-b29ded2e4396.pdf:

a. Licensed Device. You may install and use one copy of the software on the licensed device.
b. Portable Device. You may install another copy on a portable device for use by the single primary user of the licensed device.

In other words, you can install it on one machine, and then on a second portable machine for your own use, not for someone else's use. There is no equivalent to the "3 machines" license that Office Home and Student offers.

No file conversion is necessary. Outlook data works the same in 2003 and 2007.

Office Home and Student 2007 doesn't include Outlook at all, so does not
grant a right to install it on even one PC. Office 2003 Student and
Teachers Edition does, I believe allow you to install it on up to three PCs,
but there may be restrictions on its use which the EULA will explain.

Don't overlook the change MS made to Exchange 2007 licensing as well. For
the first time, an Exchange 2007 CAL does NOT include an Outlook CAL. If
you're used to getting an Outlook CAL with an Exchange CAL, don't buy 2007.

Is there a way to uninstall Office Home and Student 2003 from a computer so
that I am still under the three computers? I bought a new computer and would
like to use Outlook on that one instead of the old computer.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Uninstall it from the old one and install it on the new - at most you'll
need to call for activation.
