Once I've delete the messages on the server, no more "checking for messages
to clean up off the server".
Other information: I tried the same with an other ISP and for this account,
there is no problem of deletion on the server. Outlook does it great!
I always had 2 Yahoo accounts and no such problem till now. What happened?
Why the Delete command fails with Yahoo server?
Bob, do you have the same issue in your Log file ?
thanx for any help

Hi Bob,
I also have almost the same problem with Outlook2000.
I also have the "leave on server" option unchecked.
All was running fine when suddenly (without changing any settings) Outook
leaves messages on the Pop3 server and spend a lot of time "checking for
messages to clean up off the server".
So i need to use the webmail interface to delete these e-mails.
But the difference is : I just receive once each email !
I have 3 pop account and it is the same problem for all => Outlook seems
involved
I will also send the OPMLog.log file and hope this will help.
Tell us if u identified a solution..

Hello I just switched to Rogers Hi-Speed, and now my
Outlook is
leaving messages on the server and everytime I hit
send/receive it
brings every message back. Outlook express does not
do this, and
correctly removes them from the server.
I have the "leave on server" option unchecked.
what am I missing
thanks in advance
