OUTLOOK kicks me out when trying to add phone numbers

When working in outlook address book and trying to edit phone numbers it
shuts down and ask for error report. Shuts dow and comes back on

Exactly what window are you working oin and exactly what do you click? Any
error messages?

You shouldn't change anything in the Address Book interface. Use the
Contacts folder to change your contacts.
 
Make sure you send the error report.

I've seen a few reports but no definitive solution. I'd start with detect
and repair.

We are seeing the same behavior. It started in Outlook 2002, so we
uninstalled and updated to Outlook 2003. All updates are current. When
editing a phone number in the contact record it kicks you out and restarts
outlook. There is no useful error message.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You should never attempt to edit a contact from the Addres Book interface.
