Hello everyone,
I am having some trouble with a number of users
Outlook passwords. Users can log onto the domain fine and
access everything they are supposed to. When they open
Outlook it asks for a password again.

There have been a number of differing scenerios with
the same issue. One is the user can log onto the domain
and reauthenticate Outlook, then is able to close Outlook
and go back into Outlook as long as she does not log off
the PC. Other user have to reauthenticate everytime they
open Outlook.

The only resolve we have had success with so far is to
basically reimage the machine and create a whole new
profile on the machine. We do not particulary want to
keep doing this. Is there something I am missing
somewhere? We are not using roaming profiles for users.

Any and all help and advice would greatly be accepted.
Thank you all in advance.

Roady,

Will this also work when the password on the domain is
changed? The way it sounds is this saves it for use in an
ISP situation, but not a corporate enviroment. Will this
password change when the domain logon password is
changed? If not, I am still going to have the same
problem I have now.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

For in a corporate environment check the last URL I gave you. It has got
nothing to do with storing a password but passing it along to authenticate
yourself.

Roady,
Thank you for your quick response. However, that fix
did not work. Quite courious though, one of the keys
listed as supposed to being there under the XP version, I
do not have on my machine. I looked on a few other
machines that do not have the problem and they do not
have the key either. When I went to look at one of the
users keys to put in the missing key the fix did not
work. Is there any other fixes that might need to be done?

Please let me know when you get a chance. Thank you very
much.
