Outlook keeps asking for password

I know there is a setting in Outlook that will allow me
to eliminate the need to enter the password everytime I
log into my mail account across a VPN. How do I
accomplish this.
Also, I have to hit send/receive to get mail. Can this
be changed too?

Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.
