Microsoft Outlook 2002 is not really working on my
computer. I can open the program, but then I can't click
on anything. The "this program is not responding" box
comes up. I think this problem is due to an overload of e-
mails in my inbox, but I don't know how to delete them
without actually being in Microsoft Outlook. What can I do?

Disconnected from your internet/LAN.
Rename the OUTCMD.DAT, FRMCACHE.DAT, and EXTEND.DAT files.
Click Start, run, enter OUTLOOK /SAFE, click OK.
See if Outlook works now.
Maximum number of records per folder is 16,383.
Maximum size of the PST is approx... 2 GB.
Delete records if you can/must.
Close Outlook,
Reconnect,
Open Outlook again, and test.

A FYI, Outlook 2002 can go up to over 65,000 records per folder and previous
version from about 8.3 can enable Large Table Support to overcome the 16k
limitation per folder and folders per pst store
