outlook is no longer saving sent messages - help!

My outlook used to automatically save all my sent messages in, well, sent
messages. Suddenly it has stopped.
Actually, my whole outlook went a bit weird, with the date filing for
incoming messages going mad by filing old messages under headings like 'next
two weeks'. So I just took out the dates altogether. But it still won't save
sent messages. Any ideas? I'm not very good at this computer stuff, I'm
afraid, my my living depends on my computer!

Select "Save copies of messages in sent items folder"
OK.

Hi, thanks Dave, but I've tried that - at least there is big green tick in
the appropriate box, but still no saving.
Sorry, should have said I'd already tried that - especially as it was a big
deal for me to even get that far!
Any ideas what's gone wrong?

What version of Outlook are you using?

type.
