Quick Summary: I had Outlook 2000 on my machine in the
past but the OS does not recognize it for removal. As I
try to install Outlook 2002 through Office XP it says it
won't install the new version of Outlook until the old
version is removed.
More detail: I previously had Office 2000 on my machine
with Win ME. Win ME gave me significant problems and I
decided to install XP on top of the old OS (not an
upgrade). XP has been fine. I bought Office XP
Professional and install went fine except for Outlook.
The installer said it would not install the new version
of Outlook until the old version was removed. Add/Remove
Programs does not recognize the old version on the
machine (and it is not "installed" at present).
How do i solve this problem?
Thanks,
