I installed sp3 to my XP/Office 2002 installation. Following this I can no
longer send or receive my (IMAP) email. Could the SP3 install have made
unwanted changes to my setup or could this be a coincidence and the prob.
unrelated to SP3?
Any info gratefully rec'd. Thanks
Geoff

I don't recall any specific problems with SP3 related to IMAP. What are the
symptoms?

Thanks, Brian. I get the following send/receive errors:

"Task 'ssaib.ssaib.co.uk: Folder:Inbox Check for new mail.' reported error
(0x800CCC0E) : 'Could not fetch new headers in the folder Inbox for Account
ssaib.ssaib.co.uk. Error:Unable to connect to the server..' "

"Task 'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on ssaib.ssaib.co.uk.'
reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Could not fetch new headers in the folder
(null) for Account ssaib.ssaib.co.uk. Error:Unable to connect to the
server..' "

I have deleted the *.srs on advice read on a similar prob (from Milly Staple
MVP). Made no difference.

Can you telnet to port 143 on the server?

I tried it and I could. You should try as well. I see that it is an
Exchange server. If you get connected successfully, enter

a001 logout

to disconnect.
