This one is really eating at me and the network guys at my office are
scratching their heads as well. Here's the scenario (and sorry about the
huge crosspost, but this is really bugging me)
On my XP Pro box:
Cisco VPN Client / OutlookXP / IE6
When I log in using the Cisco VPN client, I am able to map drives, use
Terminal Services to attach to servers, but whenever I use Outlook/IE to
access corporate Intranet I get challenged again and again for my
username/password until I lock myself out. I've tried all manner of
resolutions including deleting and recreating my Outlook profile, making
sure my AD account password never expires and futzing around with IE
settings. No joy. Somewhere an invalid password is cached, I suspect.
On my W2KPro laptop:
Same VPN client. Outlook2000 / IE5.5
No problems whatsoever when I log in with VPN client. Never challenged by IE
or Outlook. Can map drives like a champ. Zero issues.
This is a constant source of frustration and I think it is IE related more
than anything else.
Any clues out there? Besides telling me to just use my laptop, wiseguys
