How do you remove (not just hide) the Outlook icon from the notification bar?
I have to stop outlook from running in the background so that I can load
another software package (Adobe Professional) and it keeps thinking that
Outlook is running.
Any suggestions on how to remove the icon (not just hide it) are most
appreciated.

Hi Lizzie,
if you want to use (Adobe) dont start outlook!
Look in the Task Manager, if outlook.exe is listed there

The icon is always there when Outlook is running. If you configure Outlook to
"hide when minimized" no taskbar button will display, but you will still have
this little icon showing in the notification area. Double click the icon to
bring up Outlook, then close the Outlook program from File menu > Exit or by
hitting the close "X" in the top right of the window.

Hope that helps.
