Outlook has no Dates....?

On my Outlook 2007, the dates on the calendar are not shown, but only has
:JanJanJan or :FebFebFeb. Also when I try to add an event the day of the
event isn't available, so i can't save any new events. So what has occurred
or what do I need to do?
 
what is your long date format in control panel, regional settings?
did you try resetting the view?

is it not saving events or just not showing them? Switch to By category view
(View menu) to check.
