Outlook shuts down when trying to send email or save a new
contact. The message is "Outlook has generated errors and
will be closed by windows." I have uninstalled and
reinstalled. I have loaded a new PST file. I turned off
all of the add in's. I am at a loss what to try next.

I am having same problem here (again). I uninstalled Office 2000 and
reinstalled, also reconfigured Outlook and Exchange etc. and it was OK for
about 1/2 a day, then the problem started happening again. In my case I
cannot add a new appointment to the calendar without Outlook closing. I can
CTRL-drag a copy of another appointment and modify it, unless I add
recipients, then Outlook.exe closes with same error.

I have followed the kb articles for cleaning out add-ins, etc., also have
downloaded and run Win2k registry repair and also Office registry repair. I
too am at a loss what to try next (besides format c: and start over).

Outlook 2k continues to crash when doing just about anything with
appointments. This on my laptop, hooked up to my employer's private
network.

I have been working from remote the last few days, laptop connected via
internet and then VPN session into my employer's network. Outlook does not
crash! Same exact machine, no changes to the configuration.

A clue perhaps?

Anyone. Any help would be most appreciated.
