Outlook Freezes when email comes in and pop up shows the email- using http

Hello,
When using Outlook (typing an email) it Freezes when emails come in
and the pop up shows the email. using Outlook over http. using IE 7
too.
An ideas? I can still do other things just not in outlook. eg. task
manger still functions.

Outlook with an HTTP account means you're using Hotmail or MSN. Is that
correct? What version of Outlook? WHen you say the pop-up "shows the
email", do you mean the incoming message or the one you're composing?
 
Outlook 2003, exchange 2003
I mean the incoming message pops up and my message that i am composing
becomes non responsive until the message has gone away.

Are you using RPC over HTTP to access Exchange remotely?
