Hello

We've created outlook forms with windows 98 , but for some reason when we send them to XP computers; the form appears blank and does not go through as formatted. Now, the forms are fine when sent to windows 98 computers..

Why would this happen and is there any way to fix this

Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

What Outlook version? What kind of mail server? Where are the forms
published? In the meantime, see http://www.outlookcode.com/d/sendform.htm
for common issues.

Hi

Thanks for the reply

It's Outlook 2000.......and the forms are in the personal forms folder.......as for the server......it's not an exchange server...just send mail....

Since it's Outlook 2000, we need to know whether it's Corporate Workgroup or
Internet Mail Only - -check the 2nd line in Help | ABout. Do sender and
recipient have the same version? Are the forms published to both? In the
published form, is the "send form definition with item" box clear or
checked?

Also note: The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote
earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message or I will be able to help you
further.

I am working on corporate work group and sending to a user who has internet mail set up.....The forms are published to both......and the send form definition with item box is checked

We are

If the form is published on both sender and recipient, then there is no need
to check the "send form definition" box. All that does is send the form
embedded in the item and ensure that the form code won't run on most
versions of Outlook.

On your CW machine, make sure you check the recipient address for rich-text
support. Double-click the email address before sending.
