I would like to make regular backups of my outlook files. Can I change the
location of the .pst file? Is there any reason why it should stay buried
there in the default spot? It seems that moving it to my "my documents"
folder would be good. Also, can someone give me a pointer about how to
effect this change? Finally, where/how do I set up automatic backups of
files?
Thanks.

Thanks for the help. With regard to making backups, my question is actually
concerning automatic backups. Is there a way to set Windows to automatically
back up certain files daily, perhaps at 2AM?

There are many good backup programs available, some of which are free.
Google will find them for you.

Yes. Windows comes with a task scheduler which will run the backup program.
The exact way of going about it depends on which version of Windows you
have. If you're running Windows XP, simply plug "schedule" into Help and
Support; one of the topics covered is "Schedule a Backup".
