Outlook Express

On the Options | General page at the bottom is a section called Default
Mesaging Programs. Both are unchecked (apparently by default). Should I
check these boxes, since Outlook Express is my defautl mail and news reader?
 
Yes, if that is what you want.

They are usually checked by default - do you know what the default
mail/news handler is at present? Check Internet Properties / Programs

Mail and News programs are both currently Outlook Express. I was surprised
to see these boxes not checked. Perhaps they were and for some reason became
"unchecked."
 
Actually, I now notice that the words "Make Default" are greyed out. The
statement is that "This application is the default mail/news handler."
Is my face sufficiently red?
