i have just got a brand new pc with xp home pre
installed.after a few false starts(i love restore points)i
got my asdl and internet working. i set up 2 identities
for my mail.all seemed to be fine, but now if i switch
between identities, specificaly from the 2nd to the
main.outlook express quits and will not restart.what
happens is i click read mail and it thinks about it
(hourglass)for a second or so then nothing.no matter which
shortcut i try even the mail button on keyboard, same
result.any ideas?

thought i had all updates, will update again tonight and
let you know how it goes.real pain having to reboot to
read mail!

ok, have checked and have sp1 with all critical updates
and looked at the links you gave me but these only suggest
workarounds rather than a solution.would putting outlook
proper on cure this and can i export my adress book from
express to outlook?
