hi,
when i'm on a newsgroup like this one, when i click on a topic, outlook
asks me to download it, by pressing 'space bar'. how do i get rid of this?
yesterday when i clicked on a topic, it just automaticaly downloaded and i
could view it. how do i get it back to normal?

Check under File to see if Work Offline is selected.

When working directly with OE online, headers download when you access a
group but you press enter to download the message immediately. If working
offline, the message gets marked for downloading later.

Using the Synchronize button will download whatever you set up in each
newsgroup's synchronize menu. Right click on any newsgroup and check the
available Synchronize settings. For example, you can select to download new
headers only or new headers/message bodies.

Also, mark "Include account when checking for new messages" in Accounts>
News> Properties of the news server. With these settings in place,
selecting Synchronize Now will download all unread headers message bodies.
