Debra

I try to launch outlook express and I immediately get an
error code of ox800CCC0D. I can launch Internet Explorer
fine, my email company says I must have a corrupt OE file.
If this is true is there a way to fix this without
reformatting my entire computer? Thanks

One of The files that store your e-mail(example:
inbox.dbx,outbox.dbx etc.) may be damaged.

If your are running windows xp or 2000 they may be located
in the following location:

c:\document and settings\username\Local
Settings\Application Data\Identities\{3B5887CC-053B-4910-
8C1E-42936EB41805}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\

Delete(you may want to backup them up to another folder)
all the files under this folder and try running outlook
express. If this works then you will have to re-setup you
account under outlook express.

I can't recall the details, but if you go to the
support.microsoft site and search for that error number I
think you'll get an answer.
Are you up to date with all the fixes & patches MS put
out? If not, you need to be.
