Help. Can anyone tell me how to re-install Outlook
Express? As a novice on the Net, a friend said that 'I
didn't need it', and proceeded to eliminate it. 3 months
on, I cannot access certain web sites: keep getting the
message: Outlook Express could not be started because
MSOE.DLL could not be loaded.

Since you are not asking about XP OR hardware, you are posting to the
wrong place. Try posting in an appropriate newsgoup dealing with OE.
There are several to choose from. Bye bye now!

It's rude responses like this from inconsiderate people that make these
newsgroups a shitty place to come for newbies searching for help. People
here think they are so much smarter than everyone else and treat new people
like crap.....nice going.

Not inconsiderate...but trying to teach people to HELP THEMSELVES.
When you spoon feed somebody they learn nothing; when you make them go
out and learn it they remember it. That's a valid cognitive learning
theory that's been time tested and proved.

I was a newbie once. I learned to lurk and learn. One thing I
realized was what a newsgroup name meant: what that group was about.
As the post referenced above has nothing to do with either XP or
hardware, it has nothing to do with the topic of this group. That was
the point of my post. Abrupt: yes. Meant to be rude: no.
Misconstrued, at least on your part: definitely.
