outlook express

I tried to mail a folder to a friend but it was too large.Now when I go to
O,E, it keeps trying to send those messages but cant complete,Is there anyway
I can get into O.E, and delete those messages that they keep trying to send?
I use windows xp-home, Is there a remedy for this?

Go to the Outbox folder and delete the large emails. The others should
then send without problem.

Open Internet Explorer and click File | Work Offline for IE6 or click the
Tools icon and select Work Offline in IE7. This will not close your
Internet connection. Now open OE and delete the message from the Outbox.
Then in OE click File and click to uncheck 'Work Offline'.
 
In Outlook Espress click View | Layout and make sure that the Folder List is
selected.
