outlook express

I can not find outlook express in the dropdown menu of inernet options to
make it my default email. Outlook and live mail are the only ones there but I
use Outlook express at all other times. How can I make it appear in the
internet options dropdown so I can select it as the Windows XP default mail?

With IE and OE both closed, copy and paste the following in Start > Run:

"c:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe" /reg

....then click on OK

Now launch IE and check the Tools > Internet Options > Programs tab again.
Change as required.
