Either create a new shortcut to OE or use an existing one.
The target is normally "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe"

If you want OE in your toolbar, please try the IE7 newsgroup.
I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

Right click on the toolbar and select "Customize Command Bar", then "Add or
remove commands" from the drop down lists. Select the "Read Mail" button
from the left box of "Available toolbar buttons". Then click on the "Add"
button to move it to the right box of "Current toolbar buttons" and hit the
close button. Right click again on the toolbar and uncheck "Lock the
Toolbars". Left click on the dotted vertical line to the left of the HOME
button and drag it to the left until the "Send Mail" button appears. Right
click on the Command Bar again and check "Lock the Toolbars" again.

The Mail button no longer appears on the toolbar, and there are changes in
the way that you access mail-related functionalities in Internet Explorer 7:
