Why can't I print a created e-mail before I have sent it?

Because, before you send and email the Print function is grayed out.

Copy the text and paste into Notepad and print it from there.

If you also have nontext items, i.e. HTML stuff or pictures, etc., copy and
paste into Wordpad or Word and print from one of those.

Or save to your drafts folder and print from there. (saves opening
another program)
