Won't save password, never has since new out
of box. Microsoft has known of problem and
it requires changing register. This is Windows
XP Home. Anybody out there done this? Could really foul up things if you
make an error; still rather new to computer programming. Thanks

Since it appears that the only way to fix the problem is by using the steps
outlined in http://support.microsoft.com/?id=290684 you may be stuck with
having to work on the registry per the instructions.

But, have you tried deleting the account in question and then re-creating it
again?
