Whenever I send an e-mail the file "~" is created on my
desktop. How do i stop it from happening?

Thanks,
David

It's a known, harmless bug, that has been corrected in one of the WinXP
updates, from Microsoft. Have you run the Windows Updates?

The tilde (~) is a result of this patch:

The file is created when certain changes are made to your address book. This is a non-fatal error, ignore it.

What is the ~ (tilde) file on my desktop?"
