For messages that I received from my previous place of employment, the text
is completely stripped. I receive the message with the send name and subject
line no problem. But text is completely stripped with no error message. Any
ideas how I solve this problem? E:mails from other sources I have no problem
with text.

Fred,
Are the Senders using OUTLOOK9x/2000/XP, and are you reading the email
message in Outlook Express? If yes, the sender needs to send the message in
Plain Text, not in Rich Text Format (RTF) used by OUTLOOK, OE can't read
that format type. OE uses a different Rich Text (HTML) format type.

There is a similar problem with AOL Users sending email to OE users, it is
recommend that they also send messages in Plain Text, and send image files
as attachments, instead of imbedding the image file into the message body.

There should be a setting in their address book that would send the message,
automatically in Plain Text.
