I am having problems with outlook express blocking any
sort of attachement received from someone (in my address
book even) and it also won't show any text that someone
has forwarded say from someone else. It says due to
security reasons, which I can understand. However, if I
trust this person and the material they may be trying to
send, shouldn't I be able to determine if I want to open
and read instead of automatically deleting everything
except the senders address and the subject line? Please
let me know how I can correct this. Thanks.

Hi,

Open OE then go to Tools -> Options -> Security. Here remove the check mark
where it says "Don't allow attachments to be saved or opened that could
potentially be a virus."

Be very careful after this what you open. Even if the OE says the name of a
known person or a friend it could still be a virus. From address can be very
easily spoofed.

My advice is to install a good anti-virus before you do this OE change on
your PC.

Go to Outlook express-tools-options-security see if the
box is checked beside "do not allow atttachments to be
saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" If it
is uncheck it.
