outlook express

For some reason I now get this error message when I try to open Outlook Express:

"Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.dll could not be loaded."

Short of a new install of 2000 (plus updates, software, et al; OUCH !) is there anyway to fix this? I know where to find the .dll on the internet, but am not sure if that is the problem or what to do with it after I download it.

Any ideas? Thanks.
 
If you're not running the latest version of IE/OE, you can try upgrading
your version of IE. Otherwise, if you are at the latest version, try
rerunning the IE install from the MS site.
