I am pretty much a neophyte, so don't have a clue what I'm really talking
about, but here goes. I have AOL as my ISP. My computer has Windows XP.
My computer also came with Outlook Express installed. When I try to send
mail using Outlook Express, it does not work. I get an error message saying
it can't find aol program or something like that. How can I use Outlook
Express to send mail??? Hope this all makes some sense to someone! Thanks

I'm not sure you can. AOL is pretty much its own little world. One that usually
cares very little about how the rest of the universe works. I could be wrong
though. AOL changes a LOT every few months.

Wrong Newsgroup by the way. This one is for MS Access the database product.

If you haven't set up an e-mail account with Outlook try to go to TOOLS /
ACCOUNTS and set up a HOTMAIL account.
