In outlook express I do not receive any pictures with the
emails or advertising pictures etc. This has happened
after loading xp sp2. Can anyone help? Thanks

This is set by default paul for security reasons. To change it go to Tools
on the main OE toolbar and select Options. When the options window opens
select the Security tab. In the Security window look for the section marked
Download Images. Remove the check mark from the box next to the option
'Block images and other external content in HTML e-mails' Finally click
Apply and then OK to exit. Your pictures etc should now appear.

I also am not receiving pictures
(eg. in my ebay favourites searches emails)
and my Security is already set to allow the Download of Images.

If I take a portion of an old EBay search email, which had pictures, and
forward it to me, the sent graphic does show up.

Could it be that there has been a change at EBay that coincided with my
computer crash and subsequent upgrade to XP with SP2?? That would be weird
but possible, I suppose.

Compose a New Message with embedded graphics & send it to yourself. Do the
pix display?

I sounds like the problem is indeed on eBay's end. On any given eBay page,
some graphics are indeed "on" the page while some others (usually the
smaller thumbnails at the bottom of a listing) are actually on another,
non-eBay page and are displayed on the page via an embedded link.

Open a New Message window.

Format > Rich Text (HTML)

Click cursor in message body

Insert > Picture

I just tried it and the picture can be seen. I guess the next step is to
contact EBay.

Thanks for your help on this.
