I can not export my email from outlook express, and I
never have been able to ever. I always get a message
that MAPI can't be initialized, the end of exporting my
mail files. I need to do a clean reinstall of XP. Which
files have my e-mail in them so that I can transfer the
downloaded mail to my reinstalled system.

Peace and thanks, Vic

All Outlook Express folder databases can be found in the following location:

I:\Documents and Settings\Administrator, ( or username )\Local
Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{A01EB78E-F1CA-4952-A964-17F36D740B66}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express

The Outlook Express Address Book can be found in the following location:

I:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Address
Book\( username ).wab
