Have new computer. Need to get e-mail from old computer to new one. Can
*dbx files be put on floppy and utg on new computer. Can't get on internet
with old computer, but can with new one. OS is Win XPSP2 on both computers.
Any help w/b appreciated.

Lavert,
Have you tried the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard?

You can access this by clicking Start, All Programs, Accessories, System
Tools, Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

Run this on the old computer first and follow the steps, and back up only
the information you want (you can transfer documents, settings, email, etc).
You will need to have a CD burner in the computer or some other removable
storage method to transfer the backup file from your old computer to your
new one. Once you have saved the backup to a medium you can then place it in
the new computer and run the wizard on that computer. It will then copy over
your backed up data.

Thnks for your reply. I gave some erroneous info. The old computer OS is
Win98SE. Can you still help me?

Using WinXP's FAST Wizard, by MVP Gary Woodruff

The FAST wizard will work with Win98. You use the XP cd in the old computer
and select the option to use FAST.

Copy the DBX files to an empty Windows folder on the new computer.
Right click and remove the Read Only attribute.
Open OE and use File | Import | Messages.
